In 2007, Mrunmayee’s made her Marathi film debut with It’s Breaking News in which she played the role of Dandekar’s daughter. Next year, she made her Bollywood debut with Humne Jeena Seekh Liya.

Mrunmayee Deshpande bagged her first TV serial Agnihotra in 2007 on Star Pravah. She is best known for her leading role as Janki in the Marathi serial Kunku (2012), which was about a small-town girl who gets married to a middle-aged man and moves to Mumbai.
