Career

After graduating from the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts in 2018, Amita Suman made her television debut with some minor roles in various TV shows including ‘Casualty’ and ‘Ackley Bridge’ both premiered in 2018. However, things changed for her when she landed a guest role in the eleventh season of the British science fiction television program ‘Doctor Who’ in 2018. In 2019, Amita got the opportunity to work in the second season of the American fantasy-adventure drama television series ‘The Outpost.’

In 2020, she was roped in to play the role of Inej Ghafa in the Netflix series ‘Shadow and Bone’ (2021). The show is an adaptation of the fantasy book series ‘The Grisha Trilogy’ and the ‘Six of Crows Duology’ by Leigh Bardugo. Other cast members are Jessie Mei Li, Ben Barnes, Freddy Carter, etc.
