Ansel had made his film debut through his role of Tommy Ross in the 2013 supernatural horror film, Carrie (by Kimberly Pierce). He was cast in a small role of Tim Mooney in the 2014 comedy-drama film, Men, Women & Children which was created by Jason Reitman.
