Arun Verma was born in 1959 (age 62 years; at the time of death) in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. He did his schooling at Model Higher Secondary School, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. He pursued B.Com from Government Hamidia Arts & Commerce Degree College, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, from 1977 to 1981. Later, he did training in acting in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

Career
He started his career as a theatre artist and performed in various theatre plays like ‘Baghro Basant’ (1981), ‘Clerk ki Mout’ (1983), ‘Matiyaa Burge’ (1984), and ‘Karant Hi’ (1984).
He debuted as an actor with the Hindi film ‘Dacait’ (1987) starring Sunny Deol. He acted in more than 80 Hindi films including ‘Khal Nayak’ (1993), ‘Nayak’ (2001), ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ (2004), and ‘Kick’ (2014).
Arun appeared in various Hindi TV serials and web series such as ‘Shukla The Tiger’ (2021).
His last film was Kangana Ranaut‘s directorial Hindi film ‘Tiku Weds Sheru’ which was under production at the time of his death in January 2022.
Death
As per a leading newspaper, he had a blockage in his brain which led to his organ failures, and after his kidney failure, he passed away on 20 January 2022 (at 2 am) in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The news of his demise was shared by his nephew Amit Verma. While talking to the reporters, he said,
Arun ji passed away at 2.00 am today, he was admitted to Peoples Hospital, Bhopal. He had a block in his brain and slowly all his organs failed, including his lungs, and finally he succumbed to kidney failure.”
One of his close friends and comedian Uday Dahia took to Facebook to share the news of Arun’s demise. He wrote,
It is with great sadness that I have to inform that my friend actor Arun Verma has passed away this morning in Bhopal, may God give him a place at his feet. Om Shanti Shanti Shanti….”
