She began her modeling career as a kid and received critical praise at the age of 12 for her major part in Louis Malle’s film Pretty Baby.
She continued modeling throughout her late adolescence and appeared in several 1980s plays, including The Blue Lagoon and Franco Zeffirelli’s Endless Love. She was also featured in the NBC comedies Suddenly Susan and Lipstick Jungle, for which she got two Golden Globe nominations.
