After 4 years in 2016, she shared that she was 20 years old and her date of birth was 27 July 1995.

Patani was born in well-educated family in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, her father is Jagdish Singh is DSP officer and her sister Khushboo Patani is a captain in Indian Army.
Patani aspired to become a Pilot in Air Force like her sister and father in her childhood age. She was completed her schooling with her sister in same school and for higher education she was shifted in Noida and enrolled in Amity University in Computer Science (B. Tech) field.
But during her college days, she got offered to feature in modeling show and she grabbed some projects in fashion industry, due to which she left her college degree in 2nd year.
She also gave audition for film Heropanti but she got failed to grab the role in film.

Career Path
Disha started her career as a model and became a first runner-up in Ponds Femina Miss India in 2013, and won the title Miss Indore.
In 2015, she made her debut film in Telugu Loafer along with Varun Tej, in which she played the role girl Mounika, who runs from her marriage.
She also got chance to featured in music video Befikra along with Tiger Shroff, which released by T-series and produced by Bhushan Kumar.
She was selected in Karan Johar sex comedy film No Sex Please, We’re Indians but the film idea was quitted.
In 2016, she gained huge fame and popularity after she had done biopic film of cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni titled M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story along with stars Late Sushant Singh Rajput and Kiara Advani.
In biopic film she played the role of Dhoni’s ex-girlfriend Priyanka Jha, who died in a car accident in the movie. For the film she also learned some Asuri Language and common lingo of Jharkhand.
In film Baaghi: A Rebel for Love, she was the first choice for film but finally the role was grabbed by Shraddha Kapoor.
But in sequel of Baaghi that was Baaghi 2, she got selected in film with star Tiger Shroff, in which she received positive reviews and commercially hit on the box-office in 2018.
in 2017, she also appeared in an Indo-Chinese film Kung Fu Yoga with artist Jackie Chan, she also learned martial arts for film under the champion Jackie Chan.
