Erana James was born on Tuesday, February 16, 1999 (age 21 years; as of 2020), and she hails from Whangārei in New Zealand. At the age of ten, she moved to Wellington, New Zealand. She did her schooling at Wellington Girls’ College. [1] At the age of fourteen, she pursued a professional acting course for teenagers at Rata Studios, a performing arts school in Wellington. Later, she pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Te Reo Māori (Polynesian language spoken by the Māori people) at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. [2]

In 2015, Erana James made her television debut with the show Sons of Liars in which she played the role of Bria. In 2017, she appeared in a children’s comedy show Lucy Lewis Can’t Lose as J’ess.

In 2017, she made her film debut with the movie The Changeover in which she played the role of Laura Chant.
