Gagan Arora was born on Thursday, 16 September 1993 (age 28 years; as of 2021) in New Delhi. His zodiac sign is Virgo.

He did his schooling at National Victor Public School, Delhi. He pursued B.Com from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Delhi University, New Delhi, from 2012 to 2015. He then did a one year course in film, television, and digital video production from Xavier Institute of Communications, Mumbai.

Career

On 2 July 2016, he joined MTV India as an associate producer and worked there for almost a year. On 6 March 2017, he started working for an entertainment website Raw n Dumb as a content creator. He is the owner of a photography company named GA Arts, where he also works as a head photographer. In 2018, he debuted as an assistant director in the Hindi film ‘Stree.’ In the same year, he made his acting debut with the TVF YouTube series ‘College Romance’ in which he played the role of Bagga. He received great appreciation for his role in the series.

He then acted in a few more Hindi TV series such as ‘Girls Hostel’ (2018), ‘4 Thieves’ (2020), ‘Basement Company’ (2020), and ‘Tabbar’ (2021).

In 2019, he played the role of DJ Kabir Singh in the Hindi short film ‘Padh Le Basanti.’

His Bollywood debut was with the 2019 film ‘Ujda Chaman’ in which he played the character of Goldy.

In 2022, he was roped in the Netflix series ‘The Fame Game’ starring Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Kapoor.

He has also appeared in videos of various YouTube channels such as FilterCopy, Alright, and The Timeliners.

• In an interview, while talking about working as an assistant director, he said that it was an excruciating job, and he had to work for long hours. He said,
  

  Yes, there is just no fixed pattern and you finish up running around for almost 18 hours a day and the schedule can go on for 20-25 days. By the end of it, we were like zombies and that is when I took a break. It was then I got a call from one of my juniors from theatre who was then working with a lifestyle channel. They were looking for actors and suggested me to audition. I auditioned and then I got back to acting.”

• His role in the 2021 film ‘Tabbar’ was well received by the audience and critics. During an interview, while talking about his role in the film, he said,
  

  When I was offered this role, I met with a small accident and hurt my leg. So, I was like lo gya ek acchaa kaam haath se…but the makers planned it such that the things did fall in place with me limping for the earlier part of the series. But then, the lockdown happened and the work went on hold. I recovered in those months so eventually when we were back on the shoot post lockdown. I had to then recreate that limp-wali walk (laughs). Badi mehnat lagi…also the story was completely different from whatever I had done but the team’s conviction in me saw me through.”
