Career

Harshaali entered the world of media when she was just two years old. Her mother shared in an interview that Harshali got her first break when they visited a mall. She said,

We chanced upon a photo contest by an apparel brand for kids when we visited a mall,” Kajal explains. “We filled up the form, and after a few days, we were informed that Harshaali had won. So she did a photoshoot with them.”

After this, Harshali featured in various commercial advertisements for brands like Hyundai Xcent, Pears, Haier, Fair & Lovely, Sony, Horlicks, HDFC Bank, and Apollo Tyres.

Film

Harshaali’s debut movie was Bajrangi Bhaijaan in 2015. She was just 6 while shooting for the movie. Harshaali’s mother, Kajal, shares how Bajrangi Bhaijaan happened by chance. She shared in an interview that one day she went to the office of the casting director Mukesh Chhabra after reading about a film. After some time, she got a call from his office saying that Harshaali got selected for the film Bajrangi Bhaijaaan. At that time she was not aware that Salman Khan is going to be a part of this film. Kajal said in an interview,

Harshaali was taken to Salman’s home, with three other girls, to meet the actor. I was nervous, as I wondered how she would talk and react when she saw Salman. When she came back, she told me that she had asked Salman to make her a superstar just like him.”

In an interview, Harshali shared her experience of working with Salman khan. She said that she enjoyed it a lot and used to play barbie games on Salman and Kabir Khan’s cell phones. Sharing her sweet memories from the film, she said in an interview,

I like chicken. I ate a lot of chicken while doing the ‘Chicken’ song in Bajrangi Bhaijaan. I took four takes to do that scene. On the sets, we would play table tennis and drive an ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) while shooting in Karjat. And he made me eat a lot of biryani. But I was afraid of the action scenes so Kabir uncle decided to shoot my scenes separately. In the scenes when Salman uncle cry, made me cry too. I would feel so bad, she added.”

Harshaali was also seen in TV serials. In 2012, she was featured in the serial “Qubool Hai” as Zoya Farooqui, in “Laut Aao Trisha” as Sania Swaika, in “Saavdhan India” as Honey. In 2015, she also acted in Sony TV’s famous serial Jodha Akbar and 2017, she made a special appearance in the show Sabse Bada Kalakar.

Controversies

Harshaali was trolled for calling Katrina Kaif, “Auntie.” On Katrina’s 33rd birthday, Harshaali posted a picture of her with Katrina on Facebook, wishing her birthday. She wrote, ‘Happy Birthday… Katrina auntie’ which was not accepted well by netizens.
