Himani Bhatt Shivpuri is an Indian actress who plays supporting roles in Bollywood films and Hindi TV serials. She is best known for portraying the role of ‘Razia’ in the film “Hum Apke Hai Koun.”

Himani Shivpuri was born on 24 October 1960 (57 years; as in 2018) in Dehradun, Uttrakhand. Her Zodiac sign is Scorpio. She did her schooling from Doon School, Dehradun. There she was taught by her father, Haridutt Bhatt, who was the Hindi teacher at her school. Himani was actively involved in the plays and drama organised by her school. After her schooling, she pursued a degree in B.Sc. Himani was so much fascinated with theatre and cinema that while she was in her school days, she used to bunk her classes to watch movies in the cinema hall. She did her post graduation in M.Sc (Organic Chemistry). While doing her post-graduation, she began a parallel career in theatre. Eventually, she joined National School of Drama (NSD) in New Delhi and graduated from there in 1984. Thereafter, she briefly worked with NSD Repertory Company and, then, relocated to Mumbai.

Career
Shivpuri started her acting career in 1984 with the film “Ab Ayega Mazaa.” Next, she appeared in the film “In Which Annie Gives It Those Ones,” starring Arundhati Roy, Shahrukh Khan and Roshan Seth. Her breakthrough came in the year 1994 with Sooraj R. Barjatya’s musical romantic comedy “Hum Aapke Hain Koun…!.”
She made her TV debut in 1986 with the show “Yatra.” Subsequently, she appeared in DD National’s TV serial “Humrahi.” She played the role of Devki Bhojai in the show which was widely appreciated and gave her immense popularity. After Humrahi, Shivpuri became a regular face of Indian television and featured in popular shows like “Kasautii Zindagi Kay,” “Dollar Bahu,” “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi,” “Ek Ladki Anjaani Si,” “India Calling,” “Ajab Gajab Ghar Jamai,” “Baat Hamarri Paki Hai,” and “Hamari Betiyoon Ka Vivaah.”

Himani also played a short role in the documentary film “The Facebook Generation.” The film was among the top 10 finalists at the film making competition organised by The Global Education and Leadership Foundation.
Controversy
Himani was accused by an Indore-based film producer, Mohammad Ali, for cheating him. According to him, she had entered into an agreement to work in his two films titled The Real Cyanide and Tere Ishq Mein Qurban and also took an advance of ₹5 lakh from him. However, She left the second movie midway and refused to work in it causing huge financial loss to the producer.
