Bae Joo-Hyun, popularly known as Irene is a South Korean who is a popular singer, actress, and rapper by profession. Irene is a leader of the South Korean girl group Red Velvet and A member of its sub-unit Red Velvet.

She completed her early schooling at Haknam High School, Daegu, South Korea.
