Keshav Prasad Maurya was born in 1969 in Sirathu town of Uttar Pradesh in a humble family of farmers. In his childhood, he sells tea and newspapers to make daily earnings. He went to Hindi Sahitya Sammelan at Prayagraaj to study Hindi literature. In his early political carrier, he served as a full-time karyakarta of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), later he also join Bajrang Dal. He belongs to kushwaha caste and this caste uses different surnames like Saini, bind, Maurya, etc depending on the region.
