Martin Luther King Jr. or Michael King Jr. was an American who was a famous minister and an activist by profession. From the year 1955 until his murder in the year 1968, he was also the most prominent speaker and leader in the American civil rights movement.
He achieved civil rights via nonviolence and civil disobedience, both of which were motivated by his Christian convictions and Mahatma Gandhi’s peaceful activity. He was the son of Martin Luther King Sr., an early civil rights leader, and clergyman.

Born on 15 January 1929, Martin Luther King Jr.’s age was 39 years at the time of his death. He was born and brought up in a rich-class Baptist family from Atlanta, Georgia, the United States. He was American by nationality and believed in the Baptist religion.
He completed his early education at the Yonge Street Elementary School, and later at David T. Howard Elementary School. Later, he got into the Booker T. Washington High School in Georgia, the United States.
After that, he also enrolled himself at the Morehouse College, Crozer Theological Seminary, and later at the Boston University in the United States from where he completed his higher studies. From the very beginning of his childhood, he was a great student. He had a practical mind from the very beginning.
