Nandita Sinha (age not known) is a B. Tech. graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi and passed out in 2003. Sinha also holds an MBA degree in Marketing and Strategy from the Faculty of Management Studies at the University of Delhi, where she studied from 2003 to 2005. [1]

Hindustan Unilever Limited

After completing her education, Nandita worked as a trainee at HUL for three months starting April 2004. In the following three years, she rose to the position of Brand Manager, Brooke Bond 3 Roses. In October 2007, Sinha became the Area Sales and Customer Manager at the company. [2]

Britannia Industries 

After four years working at HUL, Nandita joined Britannia Industries Limited as a Product Manager, Britannia Marie Gold in September 2009, and she was associated with the company till June 2012. There Nandita led a team of members from R&D, supply chain, purchase, demand planning, customer marketing, and commercial. Prior to working at Flipkart, Nandita co-founded MyBabyCart.com in 2012. A Bangalore based e-commerce platform, MyBabyCart.com retails baby and maternity products. At the venture, she spearheaded customer growth and ensured revenue. Being the director, Sinha oversees the smooth running of the business, developing and implementing strategies to acquire loyal customers, and increase revenue. [4]

Nandita joined Walmart-owned Flipkart in August 2013 as the Associate Director of Health and Beauty, and a year later in July, she got promoted to Director of Books, FMCG, and Auto Accessories. In January 2016, she became the Senior Director of Lifestyle Accessories, Books and Media, Food and Nutrition at Flipkart. Nandita’s role demanded her to build a long term strategy and growth plan for all the categories spanning across product, business and operations. During her nearly eight-year-long tenure at Flipkart, she has worked across multiple roles and categories, including beauty and personal care, books and general merchandise, home and furniture. She has also been actively engaged with Flipkart’s flagship Diwali sale event called “Big Billion Days.” As the Vice President, Sinha led the overall charter for marketing at the group company and worked closely with Flipkart’s Group CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy. Myntra

On 12 November 2021, the Walmart-owned online fashion retailer Myntra appointed Nandita Sinha of Flipkart as its Chief Executive Officer, effective from 1 January 2022. She will succeed Amar Nagaram, who remained Myntra’s CEO for nearly three years and stepped down from the position in October 2021 to start his own venture. At Myntra too, Sinha will report to the Flipkart Group CEO, Kalyan Krishnamurthy. [7]
