Neeru Bajwa made her acting debut with the 1998 Bollywood film “Main Solah Baras Ki” as ‘Tina.’

She went on to star in several Bollywood movies like Prince (2010), Phoonk 2 (2010), Miley Naa Miley Hum (2011), and Special Chabbis (2013). In 2004, she made her Punjabi debut with the film “Asa Nu Maan Watna Da” as ‘Neeru.’
Her first film as a lead actress in a Punjabi film was “Dil Apna Punjabi” (2006). She has acted in many popular Punjabi films including Munde U.K. De (2009), Heer Ranjha (2009), Jihne Mera Dil Luteya (2011), Jatt & Juliet (2012), Jatt & Juliet 2 (2013), Aa Gaye Munde U.K. De (2014), Sardaar Ji (2015), Channo Kamli Yaar Di (2016), Jindua (2017), Laung Laachi (2018), and Shadaa (2019).

Controversy
In 2013, she got a tattoo of verses from Gurbani inked on her forearm. This angered many including Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), who filed a complaint against the actress. Neeru had to submit a written apology for it, and it was later decided that no one would ever be pardoned for committing the same mistake.

- She likes travelling, swimming, and reading.
- Since her Childhood, Neeru dreamt of becoming an actress. She grew up watching Bollywood films and decided to become an actress.
- Before coming to India, she participated in an Indian Canadian beauty pageant because she heard that the winners would get a chance to go to Mumbai. She came second in the pageant, but, by that time, her father had already agreed to send her to Mumbai.
- Initially, her parents were against Neeru’s wish to become an actress; because they wanted her to become a doctor.
- Her father respected her decision and fully supported her. At the age of 19, she came to Mumbai to give auditions. Since then, she has been working in the industry.
- The last Bollywood film that Neeru Bajwa acted in was “Special Chabbis” (2013). Talking about why she left working in Bollywood films, Neeru said,
I am not saying that that is how the industry works. I am saying that I was one of the unfortunate actresses who had encountered a terrifying experience. Since then, I did not try my luck in Bollywood, and I never will. I am comfortable in my space in Punjabi cinema.”
