Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh or “Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark” is a Greek who was the husband of Queen Elizabeth II, a member of the British Royal Family. He served as the monarch’s consort from 1952 until his death. This made him the longest-serving royal consort in history.
Prince Philip, a sports enthusiast, was instrumental in the development of the equestrian event of carriage driving. He served as a patron, president, or member of over 780 organizations and chaired The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, a self-improvement program for young people aged 14 to 24.

Born on 10 June 1921, Prince Philip’s age was 99 years at the time of his death. He was born and brought up in a super rich-class Greek Orthodox Christian family from Mon Repos, Corfu, Kingdom of Greece. He was a Greek by nationality and belonged to the Greek Orthodox Christian religion.
He completed his early education at the Gordonstown School, Cheam School, and the Schule Schloss Salem in the Kingdom of Greece.
After that, he also enrolled himself at the Britannia Royal Naval College in the Kingdom of Greece from where he completed his graduation. Louis was a naturalized British national who had abandoned his German titles and acquired the surname Mountbatten — an Anglicized form of Battenberg – after a career in the Royal Navy.
