Raashul Tandon is an Indian television and film actor, who mainly works in the Indian television industry. He is famous for playing the role of Hassan in the Indian television show Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga (2018).
Raashul Tandon was born on Wednesday, 15 October 1986 ( age 36; as of 2022 ) in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. His zodiac sign is Libra. He did his primary schooling at Spring Dale School, Lucknow, High school at Career Convent College, Lucknow, and intermediate at Dayawati Modi Academy, Meerut. He then attended National P.G. College, Lucknow. He holds a B.com degree.
Since childhood, Raashul had an interest in acting. In December 2008, he moved to Mumbai to pursue his profession in acting and enrolled himself in Anupam Kher’s acting school. In an interview, he recalled his childhood days and said,
Since childhood I was more active in extra curricular activities & had a profound love for acting, dancing, and elocution. My father always told us to follow our passion, hence. I did my acting course under veteran actor Anupam Kher’s Actor Prepares.”

Raashul Tandon’s father, Vijay Tandon, is a banker. His mother, Renu Tandon, is a homemaker. Raashul has a younger brother named Vaibhav Tandon.
Wife & Children
On 13 December 2018, he got married to Manisha Mehrotra. In an interview, Raashul stated that Lucknow Times played a major role in finding his life partner. He said,
Although it is an arranged marriage, my interview published in Lucknow Times helped me find my soulmate. When LT featured the Raksha Bandhan special feature on my visit to the city in August last year, Manisha, who is a friend of my sister Nupur, who ties rakhi to me, read that interview on social media. From that interview, the whole story started and ended with our engagement. And now we are waiting for the wedding.”
After getting three months of training at Anupam Kher’s academy, he made his debut in the television show Seven (2010) produced by Yashraj Telefilms. In an interview, he stated his experience of working in Yashraj production. He said,
The one thing that I consider a big achievement and once-in-a-life-time-thing is meeting Yash Chopraji. When he came in front of me I was dumbstruck. I couldn’t believe I was meeting ‘The Yash Chopra’. He is like God for actors like me. Here I was this young guy from Lucknow and meeting a legend like Yashji, one of those people we only saw on TV or heard off, and here he was right in front of me and talking to me! That’s one thing I will never forget in my life.”
Some of his other Hindi television serials are Mahi Way (2010), Pavitra Rishta (2009) and Saam Daam Dand Bhed (2017). He then played a lead role in the TV show Aladdin Naam Toh Suna Hoga (2018). In an interview, while talking about his role in Aladdin Naam Toh Suna Hoga (2018), he said
I saw a lot of fantasy shows, especially noticing the body language and the tone of negative characters. I am known for my wit and smile on the set, which I completely stopped as I wanted to be in the character all the time. I stopped talking to people and would only step out of my room when I was called for the shot. It might sound a little weird, but I actually got a photoshoot done, where I am all serious and sports a beard to get that angry look on my face.”
In 2014, Raashul Tandon debuted with the film Heropanti in which he played the role of an NRI photographer. He then played supporting roles in a few other films, like M.A.D: Mad About Dance (2014), Poster Boys (2017), and Pink (2016). In an interview, while talking about his role in the film Pink, he said,
It’s a story of a bunch of youngsters living in Delhi and I play one of those characters. It’s a very pivotal role as I’m part of the one incident, which dictates the course of the film.I had auditioned for the role. The casting director, Jogiji, and the team really helped me understand the plot and my character so I could perform well”.
