Ridhima Ghosh was born on Thursday, 18 January 1989 (age 33 years; as of 2022) in Kolkata, West Bengal. Her zodiac sign is Capricorn. She completed her school education at Loreto House, Kolkata. Later, Ridhima completed her graduation from Bhawanipur Education Society College, Kolkata.
During her childhood, she aspired to become an actress like Madhuri Dixit. In an interview, she said,
As a child, I used to watch Madhuri Dixit on TV and think, I want to be like that. To be an actress. Later, as I got older, I realized what is acting? Finally, when I stood in front of the camera and did the work, I realized what the performance is! I used to ‘act’ at the beginning of my career. Later I realized that it is not ‘acting’, but actually behaving. That is a great lesson for me.”

On 28 November 2017, Ridhima married her longtime boyfriend, Gaurav Chakrabarty, a renowned Bengali actor. The couple met on the sets of Rang Milanti, where Ridhima was a co-star of Gaurav Chakrabarty. When Ridhima Ghosh was asked what was it about Gaurav that she decided to tie a knot with him, Ridhima replied,
Actually, both of us felt it is the right time to get married, now that our relationship is tried and tested. We didn’t even realise how it all happened and when we started addressing each other as ‘tumi’ from ‘tui’. I think the song Jaane kaise kab kahaan iqraar ho gayaa/hum sochte hi rah gaye aur pyaar ho gayaa actually sums up our love story (blushes). Frankly, the idea of getting married has not sunk in yet. However, I am happy that I am finally getting married to my best friend. We wanted a registry marriage followed by a gala party. But both our families didn’t agree to that.”

In 2009, Ridhima marked her television debut in the Star Jalsha series Bou Kotha Kao in which she played the role of Neera.
In 2014, she was a lead cast in the television show ‘Byomkesh’ in which she played the role of Satyabati. This show was telecasted in Colors Bangla. Then in 2016, she worked on the television show Mahanayak. In this TV show, she portrayed the role of Urmila.
Some of her other television shows include Judhishthir (2016), Akash Choan (2016), Rang Milanti (2020), and Jamai Elo Ghare (2019).

Yes, my character was a little complicated because I was living in two different zones – one was reality and the other was the image that was created. So that was difficult because there was a very fine line of building that illusion (that of a fairy) and coming back to reality. But yeah, I actually do not like to think too much about what I have to do, because I believe in that moment. So, I didn’t really do too much prepwork and homework. I just believed in those moments and the scenes I was doing.”

In 2020, she appeared in the Hindi Bengali Web Series Mafia where she played the role of Birsa Dasgupta. In an interview, while talking about her role, she said,
As an actor, I am really instinctive. I don’t sit down and think about a scene too much. A scene where a wife talks to an ex-girlfriend and tries to help her out… is not everyone’s cup of tea. That comes from a place of goodness in you. That attracted me to the scene. There is awkwardness but I have to make the other person comfortable for her to open up. That was the motive for Priyanka. It was a one-on-one scene. We did it in one take. And I had to do it once in Hindi and once in Bangla. The scene worked because it was very honest. I believed in the moment.”

- During an interview, Ridhima said that she loves baking, and she always tries different baking recipes. She further added that she wants to start her own bakery someday. She said,

That was special. It actually made it easier. In those scenes where I was the pori and he was Aditya, we didn’t have to do too much acting. We just behaved. We were just living the characters at that time.”
