Controversies

Quarrel with Katrina Kaif

In 2020, Rohit attracted controversy when he was criticized by the fans of actress Katrina Kaif after he made a sexist remark toward her. In an interview, he revealed that while talking to Katrina about a scene in the film ‘Sooryavanshi,’ he said,

Katrina, I will tell you honestly, no one is going to look at you.”

The remark was made about a scene where Katrina was seen with Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh. Later, Katrina took to social media and said,

Dear Friends and Well-wishers… I normally do not comment on media reports or articles… But in this case, I feel a comment made by Rohit Sir has been taken out of context and is been entirely misunderstood. I am referring to the comment as reported that Rohit Shetty said, ‘No one would look at me in the frame, as there are three boys there and a blast happening.”
