Sam Bombay was born as Sam Ahmed [1] on 27 January 1984 (age 37 Years; as of 2021) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He did his schooling from Jebel Ali School in Dubai and went on to pursue his graduation from the University of Dubai.

Career

On 20 August 1992, he started working as a partner & regional executive creative director at VMLY&R company, Dubai and worked there till 30 March 2006. Later, on 7 January 2013, he joined Rediffusion Y&R, Mumbai as vice-chairman-cum chief creative officer. In 2014, he left the job at Rediffusion Y&R. Later, he started a film & photography company, Studio Central. He also runs a production house, Bombay Matinee Films. In 2016, he directed a Hindi song titled ‘Befikra;’ featuring Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani.

 

Later, in 2016, he also directed the song, “Gal Ban Gayi” featuring Urvashi Rautela and Vidyut Jammwal  Thereafter, in the same year, he produced and directed a Bollywood film, King of the Ring, featuring Akshay Kumar. He has also directed various TV commercials for popular brands like Sparx, Shyam Steel, Oppo, and Amazon.

Controversies

• On Tuesday, 22 September 2020, Sam Bombay was arrested in Goa as his wife, Poonam Pandey, filed a complaint against him on late Monday night, claiming he had molested, threatened, and assaulted her. The incident happened in Canacona village in south Goa where Pandey is currently shooting for her upcoming film. The police said that Poonam Pandey will be admitted for some mandatory medical tests [3]

• On 9 November 2021, the Mumbai Police arrested him after Poonam Pandey lodged a complaint against him for physically assaulting her. [4] After Sam’s arrest, Mumbai Police released a statement that read,
  

  The case has been registered against Sam Bombay under the sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC). The actress has suffered serious injuries on her head, eyes and face.”
