Sanjana Ganesan was born on Monday, 6 May 1991 (age 28 years; as of 2020) in Pune, Maharashtra. Her zodiac sign is Taurus. She attended The Bishop’s School, Pune. In 2008, she pursued B.Tech from the Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune. She was a gold medalist in Symbiosis. After completing her college education, she joined an IT and digital marketing firm, CDK Global, as a software engineer from 2013 to 2014.

In 2014, when she participated in the reality TV show “MTV Splitsvilla 7”, she had an affair with her co-contestant, Ashwini Koul. However, the affair did not last long, and they broke up in 2015.
On 15 March 2021, she got married to Jasprit Bumrah, an Indian cricketer.
Career
Sanjana wanted to try modelling, and she participated in the “2012 Femina Style Diva” fashion show, and she ended up as a finalist. As she was in college, she did not pursue modelling. After graduating from college, she started working in an IT company and pursued modelling alongside her job. In 2013, she took part in the “Femina Miss India Pune” competition. She reached the finals, but, she did not win.
In 2013, Sanjana participated in the “Femina Officially Gorgeous” competition and won it. In 2014, she was selected as a contestant in the reality TV show, MTV Splitsvilla Season 7. She was paired with Ashwini Koul, whom she also had a relationship with during the show. During the show, Sanjana got injured and she was forced to quit. Ashwini also quit the show soon after Sanjana’s departure.
In 2016, she was hired by “Star Sports” as an anchor and sports presenter. In an interview, she stated-
Although I was comfortable in front of the camera, there were a lot of things which I had to learn to become a good sports anchor”
She also hosted a show named “Match-Point” during the Indian Premier League (IPL). She was eventually hired by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), to host an exclusive show for KKR regularly. The show was called Knight Club, and she used to talk about KKR and its players on the show. Sanjana often used to host one on one interviews with the players. Occasionally, Shah Rukh Khan also used to make guest appearances on the show.
Sanjana also hosts other sporting events such as the Indian Super League (football) and the Badminton Super League. She often advocates against the use of tobacco, and in 2018, she participated in an anti-tobacco campaign. Sanjana has also hosted the IPL Auction on Star Sports.
In 2019, she hosted the Cricket World Cup from the Indian side, and she was one of the few sports presenters who was often on the field with the other experienced pitch curators. In an interview, when she was asked about her World Cup experience, she stated-
The World Cup experience was one of a kind, and it was the best thing that could have happened to me”
She also used to host a show during the World Cup named- Dil Se India.
