Television

In 1995 and 1998, Sanjay made his acting debut with titular roles in a few episodes of the serials Aahat and C.I.D. In 2010, he acted in the serial Bairi Piya on Colors TV. In 2014, he was featured in season one of the web series Encounter. In the following year, he appeared in the television serial Veera on Star Plus. In 2017, he was cast in Ekta Kapoor‘s show Kundali Bhagya in which he appeared in a negative lead role and gained great popularity among the audience.

Film

He made his Bollywood debut with the films Rakhtbeej and Heroine in 2012. In 2014, he appeared in the movie Freedom which was directed by Vivek Agnihotri. In 2016, he appeared in a Marathi movie Pinddaan that was critically acclaimed by critics.

I remember when I got this show, ‘Kundali Bhagya,’ it was a cameo role that was supposed to go on for two-three months but the way it shaped up was unbelievable, it has been three years now and I am the negative lead now.”
