Shahu Mane is a famous Indian sports shooter, who has participated in several national and international shooting competitions. On 13 July 2022, he came into the limelight after bagging a gold medal in the double mixed event during the ISSF Shooting World Cup.

Shahu Tushar Mane started his shooting career in 2015, at the age of 13, under the mentorship of his coach, Suma Shirur.
Shahu Mane, in 2015, participated in the Zonal Shooting Competition in Kolhapur. In the competition, he attained the first position and was awarded a trophy for it.
In 2016, during the Maharashtra Air Weapon Competition; a state-level shooting competition, Shahu Mane bagged three gold medals. Later in 2016, Shahu Mane was selected to participate in the 62nd School National Games and School State Games, held in Telangana and Mumbai, respectively. In 2017, Shahu Mane made his first international debut at the 10th Asian Airgun Championship in Japan. There, he was awarded two medals.
In the same year, in Mumbai, Shahu Mane took part in two shooting competitions named Prabhakar Desai Shooting Competition and Maharashtra Shooting Sports Competition. Later in 2017, Shahu Mane went on to participate in the 61st National Shooting Sports Competition, held in Trivandrum. Shahu Mane, in 2018, bagged a gold medal in the Lakshya Cup Shooting Competition. In the same year, he qualified to participate in the Khelo India Youth Games 2018.
After participating in the Khelo India Youth Games, in 2018, Shahu Mane went on to compete in the Hubballi Open Shooting Championship, which was held in West Bengal. By the end of the competition, Shahu had bagged three gold medals and a trophy.
From 6 October 2018 to 18 October 2018, Shahu Mane participated in his second international competition, the Youth Olympics Games, held at Bueno Aeris in Argentina. There, he won a silver medal in the 10-meter air rifle shooting event. Shahu claimed that he was not happy with a silver medal as he had trained extensively to win a gold medal. In an interview, Shahu Mane told,
The crowd was overzealous, and as a result of which I got distracted. I did try my best to retain my focus, but the cheering crown got a better part of my attention. I am not at all happy with a silver medal. I had hoped to bag a gold because I had prepared for it for a long time.”
After winning a silver medal for India at the Youth Olympics Games, in 2018, Shahu Mane met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who congratulated him on his achievement.
In 2019, Shahu Mane was awarded a gold medal in the 10-meter air rifle event at the International Shooting Competition held in Hannover, Germany. In 2021, Shahu Mane participated in the Sheikh Russel International Shooting Championship in Bangladesh. There, he won a silver medal in the 10-meter air rifle event.
Shahu Mane, in 2021, participated in the University Shooting Championship which took place in Delhi. At the competition, he represented the state of Maharashtra along with his team.
In 2022, Shahu Mane took part in the 55th All India Interrailways Shooting Championship, which was held in Pune.
On 13 July 2022, Shahu Mane and his mixed doubles team partner, Mehuli Ghosh, clinched a gold medal in the 10-meter air rifle event at the ISSF Shooting World Cup held in South Korea. The duo won the event by defeating the Hungarian team 17-13.
- Shahu Mane, in an interview, claimed that he likes football. He also said that he could not pursue it as a professional sport because of his parents, who did not support him in taking it as a career as they believed that there was no scope for football as a sport in India. In his interview, he said,I wanted to pursue football as a professional sport. I am still a die hard fan of the sport. But my parents did not support me as they believed that the sport had no scope in India. So I decided to take up shooting, as a career.”
- While giving an interview once, Shahu Mane said that he had taken up shooting as a sport to develop a hobby, and he had no intentions of pursuing a professional career in the sport. Shahu, in an interview, exclaimed,My coach identified me as a good shot and asked me to pursue it further. What started as a simple hobby was never fathomed to be something I would so passionately seek in the years to come. I have always been passionate about Sports and I love how shooting gave me a sense of belongingness, apart from bringing out the fun of the competition, which I cherish a lot.”
- In an interview given to ESPN, Shahu Mane claimed that he idolizes the ace Indian shooter, Abhinav Bindra, and it was only after watching him play, that Shahu decided to pursue a professional career in sports shooting.
