Shwetambari Soni is an Indian art connoisseur and founder of the art gallery ‘Trinity Art Impact.’ She is the wife of renowned film director Vikram Bhatt who is known for directing the horror film series ‘Raaz.’

She pursued graduation in Hotel Management at Rizvi College of Hotel Management, Mumbai. In 2007, she enrolled herself in a short course at Christie’s, London, a British auction house, which also provides fine art storage services. In 2012, she earned a scholarship to study business practices at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, under the Goldman Sachs women entrepreneurship programme. [2]

While Poonam was a lawyer by profession, Mamta was a fashion designer. The sister duo began their entrepreneurial journey when they started a boutique called Wild n Whacky, which prospered over time. Thereafter, they decided to venture into food and hospitality with Chaat Café in 2000. Later, the cafe led to the establishment of the restaurant Papa Pancho Da Dhaba.

After the death of Poonam, Shwetambari’s elder sister, Priya Soni Kochhar, stepped into her mother’s shoes to run Papa Pancho Da Dhaba, along with her maternal aunt Mamta Sekhri. Shwetambari’s younger sister, Namrata Soni, is a celebrity hair & makeup artist and the founder of the cosmetic brand Simply Nam.

Shwetambari Soni has two sons, Adiraj Singh and Arhavirr Singh, from her first marriage.

In 2017, she started dating the Bollywood film director Vikram Bhatt. In September 2020, after dating for three years, the couple tied the knot in a secret wedding. The private ceremony took place amid the Covid-19 lockdown and stayed under the wraps for about one year. On 6 October 2021, the news about Vikram and Shwetambari’ s marriage surfaced the internet when Vikram posted heartfelt birthday wishes for his partner on his Instagram account. Later, Vikram’s uncle and celebrated Indian filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt confirmed the news to the media.

Previously, Vikram Bhatt was married to Aditi Bhatt. Together, they have a daughter named Krishna Bhatt. Following Vikram’s extramarital affair with actor-model Sushmita Sen, Vikram and Aditi divorced in 1988.

The short course at Christie’s, London, enabled her to make a switch from hotel management and establish her art gallery named ‘Gallerie Angel Arts’ in 2007, which she operates with her business partner Reshma Jani (former fashion designer). The art events at the gallery are also combined with accessible mediums such as music, fashion, jewellery, etc. In September 2012, Gallerie Angel Arts, in association with Chivas and VH1, organised an event called “Art and Music Unplugged,” which was held at the J W Marriott, Mumbai.

Later, the name of the gallery was changed to Trinity Art Impact. Apart from exhibiting modern, Indian, and contemporary art, Trinity Art Impact also provides creative consultancy services to its clients. The company has installed beautification projects for numerous corporate clients like D’Decor, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and Oberoi Realty. Along with Vikram Bhatt, Amar Thakkar, and Vikram’s daughter Krishna Bhatt, Shwetambari Soni also became a director of Loneranger Productions Private Limited on 17 June 2016. In 2019, Trinity Arts Impact curated the special edition debit cards for Kotak Mahindra Bank. Featuring the intricate artwork by celebrated Indian artist Seema Kohli, the debits cards were created specifically for Kotak Silk Customers. The exclusive artwork showcased feminism, perpetual change, order, strength and fragility, colours and rhythm, melody and exuberance, and myths and legends.

In 2020, a public beautification landscape project was installed by Trinity Art Impact for the Minister of Environment and Tourism of Mumbai Aaditya Thackeray. Situated in Kalanagar Junction, Mumbai, the project consisted of a 28,000 sq ft sculpture garden and a model installed in a fountain that reads “BKC.”

Along with her partner Reshma Jani, she founded the construction company Mahalaya Consultancy LLP on 31 January 2020.

  • Although Vikram and Shwetambari had been dating for three years, the idea to make their relationship official via marriage struck the couple when Vikram’s father was hospitalised and the doctor recommended angioplasty for him. When Vikram approved the angioplasty procedure for his father, the question about taking such prominent decisions in each other’s life popped up in the minds of Vikram and Shwetambari. In an interview, Vikram explained,

    My father was hospitalised at the time. When the doctor recommended an angioplasty for him, we gave the go-ahead. Then, Shweta asked me, ‘If this happens to either of us, who will take [the call]? A partner doesn’t have any rights.’ We realised that companionship was fine, but we needed a more formal relationship.”
