She did her schooling from DPS RK Puram and went to National Institute of Fashion Technology, Delhi to pursue her graduation in Fashion Communication. She often visited to watch plays with her parents from where she drew her interest in acting. She decided to be an actress from a very young age. While Tripathi was in her final year of college, she attended many acting workshops. She worked as a photo editor for Femina Magazine. She even used to cut the trailers at Pixion trailer house before entering into the world of acting.

Career

Shweta started her acting career in 2009 with the Disney Channel’s “Kya Mast Hai Life” in which she played a Tomboyish character, Zenia Khan. Subsequently, she featured in “The Trip” on Bindass. Next, she featured in the movie “Zoo” which was India’s first feature-length movie shot entirely on an iPhone. Thereafter, she featured in the crime thriller web series “Mirzapur.”

In 2015, she made her film debut with “Masaan” in which she played the role of Shaalu Gupta. Shweta, then, featured in the film “Haramkhor” opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Tripathi has also featured in TV commercials like “Tata Sky,” “McDonald’s,” and “Vodafone.”

In 2019, she portrayed the role of Enakshi in the Hindi film “Gone Kesh.”
