She did her schooling from Thiruvananthapuram’s Holy Angels’ I.S.C. School and went to Christ University, Bangalore to pursue a B.A. in Psychology and English Literature. After completing her graduation, Alina did a Journalism internship with The Hindu. Thereafter, she enrolled herself in Bangalore’s Oxford College to pursue an MBA. Career
Alina started her career as an anchor in 2004 by hosting the children’s programme “Butterflies” on Asianet. She won Kerala State Television Award (2005) for the best anchor for that programme. Subsequently, she hosted several child shows. Alina has also worked as a VJ on Kiran TV, Surya TV, and Asianet Plus. In 2012, she took a three-year break to concentrate on her studies.

She made her acting debut in 2016 with the Malayalam TV serial “Bharya” in which she played the role of ‘Nayna.’ Subsequently, she co-hosted the celebrity reality show “Aarpo Irro.’ Alina has also hosted the reality TV shows like “Smart Show” on Flowers TV, “Komady Circus” on Mazhavil Manorama, “Hot n’ Spicy” (a cookery show) on ACV, and “D4Dance Junior vs Senior” on Mazhavil Manorama TV.

Controversy
In 2018, Alina was trolled on social media for her interview that she had given to a YouTube channel. The troll video was made by a fan, which was a mix of interview questions and Alina’s answers for the interview; edited with sarcastic dialogues from some popular movies. After the troll video became viral on social media, the television actress slammed the trollers with a bold LIVE video through her social media account. [1]
