Ashton Sanders or Ashton Durrand Sanders is an American famous for his acting career. He found the limelight of his career by appearing as Chiron (Teenaged Version) in Barry Jenkins’ 2016 Oscar-winning film, Moonlight. He has since been in numerous top-class titles including All Day and a Night (2020), The Kids Are all right (2018), The Last Virgin in LA (2016), Straight Outta Compton (2015).
He is the recipient of multiple accolades and nominations including the Special Gotham Jury Award for Best Ensemble performance in Moonlight. In 2021 he was part of another Oscar-winning film, Judas and the Black Messiah where he was seen in the role of Jimmy Palmer.

He went to Central Los Angeles High School No 9 from where he completed his High School graduation as well as learned performing arts. He then pursued BFA in The Theatre School at DePaul University. However, due to his career-related requirements, he had to drop out.
