When he was traveling in the business class on the airplane, people were shocked. He was offered a research project from France and all his new drones are made from that money.

Career

The fellow started his career at a very small age. He started thinking to make drones at the age of 14 and by the time he was 16 he had a completely functional and flying drone in his hands.

He has been invited to more than 87 countries to present different drones built by him. In the year 2017, he exhibited one of his drones at the Skills India and won second place. Here he exhibited a drone made by him in Cryptography. As he explained signals sent from cryptography, one cannot detect nor decode the encrypted message.

He was also called for few lectures in IITs and IISc’s where he talked about how drones can be used in time-bound situations.

Today he wants to open his startup where he can encourage students without a degree who can make drones. He is also a member of the Japan Young Scientists Association and member of Global Young Scientists Forum.

He won the Young Scientist award from Japan and France. He also won gold medals for his research on drones in Germany and the USA.

This 22-year-old boy has won the following awards – Albert Einstein Innovation Gold Medal in the International Drone Expo 2018 held at Hanover in Germany, and a gold medal in the International Drone Expo held in Germany.

He secured first place in CeBIT Drone Expo-2018 at Hanover, Germany, and also bagged the gold medal in International Robotic Exhibition held at Tokyo, Japan, in December 2017.

He secured first place in the Robotic Exhibition conducted recently by IIT-Bombay. He secured first place for his project ‘Drones in traffic management’. Prathap got recognition as a research scholar for Skill India by the Union Ministry of Science and Technology.

Facts and Information

As he claimed in an interview, an Eagle and Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam were his inspiration. Earlier he made simple drones that can fly and capture images. Later he learned more about technology and started making bigger drones and to date has made more than 600 drones.

Once he saved the life of a little girl who was bitten by a snake by transporting antivenom to a place which was 10 hours by road. This distance was covered by the Eagle 2.8 drone who flies at a speed of 280 km/hr in about 8 and a half minutes.
