- Before becoming the director at Dana group, he did an internship at the Economics Department of Lehman Brothers, UK. He also practised the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals at various companies in India.
- In 2012, after the Dana Air J9 992 flight crashed into the Iju-Ishaga, and killed 157 people on board, Gautam ensured that counsellors and psychotherapists were provided to the family of people affected by the tragedy. We would continue to visit and assist them where necessary to ensure that their needs are met until there very stable.”
