James Eugene Carrey, popularly known as Jim Carrey is a Canadian-American who is a famous actor, producer, writer, and comedian by profession. He is in the industry since the year 1977. Although usually typecast as a humorous actor, Carrey has found success in tragic parts.
His first dramatic breakthrough was for acting in the Emmy-nominated made-for-television picture Doing Time on Maple Drive (1992). Carrey garnered prominence for his main performances in The Truman Show (1998) and Man on the Moon (1999), receiving Golden Globe Awards for both pictures.

He completed his early education at the Blessed Trinity Catholic Elementary School, Aldershot School, and Northview Heights Secondary School.
He later enrolled himself at the Agincourt Collegiate Institute in Ontario, Canada from where he completed his higher studies. From the very beginning of his childhood, he was very much interested in acting, and other co-curricular activities rather than studying.
