John Fitzgerald Kennedy, popularly known as John F. Kennedy was an American who was a famous politician by profession. From 1961 to 1965, he served as the 35th President of the United States. He was also referred to as JFK, his initials.
He served at the Cold War’s height, and the bulk of his presidency focused on ties with the Soviet Union and Cuba. Before becoming president, he served as a Democrat and a member of the Kennedy family in both chambers of the United States Congress.
