Kamaru Usman or Kamarudeen “Kamaru” Usman is a Nigerian-American MMA fighter. He turned professional MMA (mixed martial artist) fighter after pursuing his career in wrestling. He used to wrestle in the freestyle segment and also is a graduate with a folkstyle wrestling degree. He is currently employed as a fighter in the UFC (ultimate fighting championship).
Usman has earned his reputation as one of the best of all-time welterweight fighters. He is also sitting at the number 2 spot in the pound-for-pound rankings enlisted by UFC (last updated on March 23, 2021).

Kamaru was born on 11th May in the year 1987. His birthplace was Auchi in Nigeria. Kamaru holds the nationality of both America and Nigerian. Kamaru has a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.
Kamaru went to James Bowie High School for his earlier educations. He followed it up with admission to the University of Nebraska Kearney. Usman was an immigrant and didn’t have much knowledge of English. He took ESL classes to master his command of the English language.
