  • Puneeth Rajkumar was an Indian actor, singer, and Kannada film producer. He was well known for his performances in the films Vasantha Geetha, Bhagyavantha, Chalisuva Modagalu, Eradu Nakshatragalu, Bhakta Prahaladha, Yarivanu, and Bettada Hoovu.
  • Puneeth Rajkumar was born in a family belonging to the Kannada film industry. His father was a legendary actor, and his mother was an Indian film producer and distributor.

  • Puneeth Rajkumar started his acting career in 1976 by playing the role of an infant in the Kannada film ”Premada Kanike.” Next, he appeared in the film “Sanaadi Appanna” in which he played the character of young Ashok. He acted in more than 12 films as a child artist. Puneeth rose to fame after appearing onscreen as Ramu in N. Lakshminarayan’s directed film”Bettada Hoovu.” His acting skills received huge critical acclaim and that role also earned him the National Film Award for Best Child Artist (1985).
  • In 2002, Puneeth, for the first time, appeared in a lead role for the film “Appu.” He played the character of Appu opposite Rakshita. The other major cast of the film includes Avinash, Srinivasa Murthy, and Sumithra. Later, he became part of several popular films like Abhi, Veera Kannadiga, Maurya, Aakash, Namma Basava, and Ajay.
