Rosa Louise McCauley Parks, popularly known as Rosa Parks, was an African-American who was an activist in the civil rights movement. She is well remembered for her critical involvement in the Montgomery bus boycott.
Parks garnered widespread acclaim, including the NAACP’s 1979 Spingarn Medal, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Congressional Gold Medal, and a posthumous monument in the National Statuary Hall of the United States Capitol.

Rosa Parks was born on 04 February 1913 and passed away on 24 October 2005 at the age of 92. She was born in a middle-class family from Tuskegee, Alabama, United States. She was known to hold an African-American nationality and has her belief in the Christian.
She completed her early education at the Highlander Folk School and the Montgomery Industrial School for Girls in the United States.
She later enrolled herself at the Alabama State Teachers College for Negroes, and later at the Highlander Research and Education Center in the United States from where she completed her higher studies. She was very active in her studies and was very much interested in politics as well.
