Stockard Channing is also known as Susan Williams Antonia Stockard. She is an American and a famous actress. She made a significant appearance in the film titled Grease, which was released in the year 1978 and she played the role of Betty Rizzo. She also played the role of First Lady Abbey Bartlet, from 1999 to 2006, in the NBC television series titled The West Wing. She is even given the credit, on the stage, for founding the role of Ouisa Kittredge. And, she is also known for the film versions of Six Degrees of Separation. In the year 1993, Stockard was awarded an Academy Award nomination in the category of Best Actress. She is also counted among one of the two comic foils named The Number Painter on Sesame Street.

In the year 1985, Stockard won the Tony Award in the category of Best Actress and it was for a Play for the Broadway revival of A Day in the Death of Joe Egg.
