Tawny Newsome was born as ‘Tawny Ellain Newsome’ on Thursday, 24 February 1983 (age 37 years; as in 2020) in Vacaville, California. Her zodiac sign is Pisces.
In 2001, she moved to Chicago, where she attended The Theatre School, DePaul University in Chicago. After living in Chicago for fifteen years, she moved her base to Los Angeles.

While she was studying in Chicago, she started her comedy career with the theatre troupe, Second City. She has performed in many theatres across Chicago, including Shakespeare Theater, Writer’s Theatre, and Porchlight Music Theatre. She made her TV debut as ‘Blue Ivy’ in the show, Stupid Bitch Syndrome (2013). She has acted in the popular series, Chicago Fire (2013), Crisis (2014), 2 Broke Series (2016), Comedy Bang Bang (2016), Bajillion Dollar Propertie$ (2016-2019), The Comedy Get Down (2017), Brockmire (2018), CBS All Access (2020), and Space Force (2020).
She made her film debut with Uncle John (2015) as ‘Cute Hipster Girl’ and has also acted in the films, Einstein’s God Model (2016), It’s All Good (2016), Canal Street (2019), and Spies in Disguise (2019).
In 2018, she joined the team of “Yo, Is This Racist?,” a blog and associated podcasts produced by Andrew Ti.
She also does the songwriting podcasts and recording projects in The Supergroup.
