Vanessa Ponce was born on March 7, 1992 (age 26; as in 2018) in Guanajuato City, Guanajuato, Mexico. She holds a degree in International Business and a Diploma in Human Rights. She is a qualified Open Water Scuba Diver. She entered the field of modelling after she won the Cycle 5 of Mexico’s Next Top Model in 2014 and since then there has been no looking back for her.

Vanessa Ponce, prior to winning the Miss World title, volunteered with an organization Migrantes en el Camino; which provides shelter to the needy in one of the poorest regions of Oaxaca, a state in Mexico. Other than volunteering, Ponce is a speaker at the National Youth Institute in Mexico, which handles policies relevant to the youth.
Vanessa Ponce shot to fame when she won the Cycle 5 of Mexico’s Next Top Model in 2014. Further, Ponce was crowned the “Miss World Mexico 2018″ on May 5, 2018. In December 2018, she hit the headlines by winning the beauty pageant Miss World 2018; making her the first ever Mexican to be crowned the Miss World. Miss World 2017, Manushi Chillar, crowned her the Miss World 2018.
