He began his career in 2014 as a software engineer at Addepar and worked here for less than a year. After leaving this job, he joined Quora in 2014 as Tech lead and worked here until 2016. At Quora, his job responsibilities included handling speed projects, goals, and initiatives as a part of the infrastructure team. In 2016, he joined Hudson River Trading as an Algorithm developer and worked here for less than a year. In June 2016, he founded his own company Scale AI with the help of Lucy Guo who was his former coworker at Quora. Scale AI is an AI data platform that raised a total amount of $602.6 Million with 7 rounds of funding from leading investors such as Accel, Tiger Global Management, Index Ventures, and others. In 2018, Scale AI was positioned in the 30 under 30 enterprise list by Forbes. On 3rd November 2021, his company acquired SiaSearch which was a Germany-based company that worked on Intelligent Data Solutions. Their last funding was done on 22 August 2021 from a secondary market round and as of May 2022, his company Scale AI is valued at $7.3 Billion. Over 300 companies including General Motors and Flexport use Scale AI. His company has made some major advancements that have helped lead businesses like Dominos with AI capabilities.
