The wedding ceremony took place in the presence of close family members. The couple divorced within a year of their marriage in 2019. On 20 January 2022, Harish got married to Malayalam actress Chinnu Kuruvila at the registrar’s office in Mavelikkara, Kerala.

Career

Cabin Crew

Harish Uttaman started his career as a cabin crew member at Paramount Airways. He worked there for around 3 years.

For the next 2.5 years, he worked as a Flight Steward at British Airways. Later, Harish worked in an advertisement company in Chennai.

Film

While working at British Airways, Harish Uthaman met Surya Prabhakaran, a Tamil film director who gave him the opportunity to act in a film. Harish left his job and started his career as an actor. In 2010, he made his debut in the Tamil film Tha in which he played the role of Suriya.

In 2011, Harish Uthaman made his Malayalam debut with the film Mumbai Police in which he played the role of Roy. In 2014, Harish made his debut in the Telugu cinema with the film Power in which he played the role of Kishore Vardhan. In 2013, he played the role of Bharani in the Tamil film Pandiya Naadu. In an interview, talking about the reaction of the audience to his film, Harish said,

I was both scared and elated with the audience’s response! Viewers were cursing me in the crudest language during some scenes and clapping loudly when I got bashed up. Their reaction is my reward. I think Pandiya Naadu is a turning point in my career!”

Later, Harish appeared as an intimidating villain in several films like ‘Power’ (2014), ‘Bairava’ (2017), ‘Kalki’ (2019), and ‘Kuttram Kuttrame’ (2022).

In 2015, he appeared in the Telugu movie Srimanthudu in which he played the role of Radha. Later, he appeared in various Tamil films like ‘Thodari’ (2016), ‘Rekka’ (2016), ‘C/o Surya’ (2017), ‘Kaithi’ (2019), ‘Ashvamithra’ (2021), and ‘Vikram’ (2022).

In 2020, Harish Uthaman made his debut in the web series Topless, which premiered on ZEE5.

  • Harish Uthaman has a great interest in sports. In an interview, he talked about his enthusiasm for sports and said,

    I love sports, have been playing Basketball for 17 years, I still play over the weekend in Chennai. I am into Parkour since a year, it gives me a thorough adrenalin rush. I need to do some kind of ground exercise otherwise my day is not completed.”
