- On 3 October 2021, Munmun Dhamecha was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) along with Shah Rukh Khan‘s son Aryan Khan and Arbaaz Merchantt in the Mumbai cruise drug bust case. Reportedly, they were partying on Cordelia Cruises’ Empress ship from where the authorities seized drugs, just off the Mumbai coast. They were arrested along with Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Gomit Chopra, Nupur Sarika, and Vikrant Chhokar. Later, in a magistrate court, it was revealed that Munmun was arrested with 5 grams of charas that she had gathered from a five-star hotel in Mumbai. After their arrest, all accused including Munmun were sent to a 7-day of judicial custody.
