- He met the Indian actress Amrita Arora in 2008. According to some media sources, Amrita and Shakeel’s first wife Nisha Rana (who belongs to a royal family in Nepal) were classmates in college. In an interview, while talking about Shakeel, his wife Amrita said,The minute I set my eyes on Shakeel I knew he was the man I wanted to marry. It’s like a karmic connection. I just felt it.
