Asees Kaur is an Indian playback singer and musician. She is best known for singing the song “Bolna” in the Bollywood film ‘Kapoor & Sons.’

She attended Panipat’s Bal Vikas School and went to SD (PG) College to pursue her B.com and M.Com. She had a deep interest in music from a very young age. Kaur started learning music at the age of 5. Her father then, adviced her to sing Gurbani. Asees got trained under Ustad Puran Shahkoti and received several accolades for her version of Gurbani. While Asees was in her college, she was in touch with the Music Composer, Salim Merchant, who after listening to her voice called her to Mumbai to give auditions for singing. Asees then participated in Awaz Punjab Di following which she relocated to Mumbai and participated in Indian Idol.

Career
Asees Kaur made her Bollywood singing debut with ”Dildara Reprise” from Tamanchey. However, she came into the spotlight with the song “Bolna” from the film Kapoor and Sons which went on to top the charts in 2016.
Subsequently, she went on to sing songs in various Bollywood films including “Beat It Bijuriya” from the film ‘Munna Michael,’ “Piya Re” from the film ‘Piya Re,’ “Tera Hua (Unplugged)” from the film ‘Loveyatri,’ “Jaan Nisaar” from the film ‘Kedarnath,’ “Nai Lagda” from the film ‘Notebook,’ and “Ve Mahi” from the film ‘Kesari.’
She has also sung cover songs which were released by the Zee Music Company. They include video song ”Judaa” from the movie ‘ISHQEDARRIYAAN,’ “Chunar” from the film ‘ABCD 2,’ “Ashq Na Ho” from the film ‘Holiday,’ and “Dildara” from the film ‘Tamanchey.’
