She was born in average family in Bangalore on 21 June 1987.
Since her school days, she has a huge interest in acting and in the entertainment field due to which she actively participated in drama as well as in sports activities in her school days.
She was took part in her school’s Kabaddi team in which won the awards with her team.
Nirmala didn’t think to make her career in acting, once she was gone for enjoying her PU holiday, where someone recommended her to joined acting workshops due to which she attended an acting workshop by Nagabharana’s Benaka.

Career Path
She joined the three-months acting training course at Rangayana.
Then she started her career as a theatre artist in which she was doing some commercial roles.
Apart from the acting, she also developed her skills in different theatre fields such as make-up, stage lighting, task designing, etc.
In 2012, she got the offer for her debut film in Kannada film Thallana in which she plays the role of ‘Jaya’ and for her critically acclaimed role in the film Nirmala won the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actress.
She made her appearance in some TV serials of Kannada like Parvati Parameshwara in 2014 and Kicchu in 2018.
In 2016, she acted in two Kannada films like Kiragoorina Gayyaligalu and Jigarthanda.
