Career Path
Before he started his career in cinema he did various jobs in Chennai and Bengaluru like Coolie, carpenter and bus conductor in Bangalore Transport Service (BTS). He earned on that time Rs.750 per month.
His best friend Raj Bahadur helps out his through money to learn acting in a film academy in Chennai. During learning the acting he met the film director K Balachander, who offered the role in his Tamil film.
On that time he was not good in to speak proper Tamil Language but he learned quickly and became an expert in speaking.
The debut movies of his were came in 1975 Apoorva Raagangal with Kamal Haasan, in early time he got negative role in movies later he got the lead role in Chilakamma Cheppindi in 1977.
He also appeared in Don with Amitabah Bachchan and his commercially successful movie was Billa in 1980.

In 2004, before the movie was released Main Hoo Rajinikanth he got stay from Madras High Court for stop the Bollywood movie, after meating with his the movie name was changed to Main Hoon Part-Time Killer.
He take a action against film director Kasthuri Raja father of Dhanush, he claimed they misusing my name without my permission and consent.
